Teaching Spanish in UK secondary schools has given me extensive experience of the National Curriculum, GCSE and A Level, as well as preparing students for examinations across KS3, KS4 and KS5.
Alongside my classroom teaching, I have also led Spanish Community Languages and conducted speaking examinations. More recently, this experience has led to my appointment as Head of MFL at a leading secondary school in London.
At the same time, having been teaching at Vamos for nearly seven years, and I was delighted to become part of the Vamos for Schools project, helping bring high-quality Spanish language education to schools around the world.
A significant part of my role is designing our schemes of work and ensuring our content and resources are aligned with the GCSE and IGCSE curriculum while remaining true to the Vamos teaching methodology and making learning engaging and enjoyable for students.
Working alongside such experienced colleagues has been one of the most rewarding aspects of the project, and I’m proud to help create resources that give students the confidence to succeed in Spanish.
