Her latest album “Motomami” won multiple awards and there’s a whole story behind the meaning of the title and the songs. Even as a Spanish speaker, it can be complicated to understand what she is talking about sometimes, but it’s all for a reason! Take the title, half of the album can be understood as “moto” — harder, faster, Rosalía on a motorcycle — and the other “mami” vulnerable, at times quiet and self-aware. It’s a cool dichotomy.
