Mariachi: music and culture

What’s the first thing that comes to your mind when you think of Mexico?

Most people would say sombreros, men with moustaches, tacos, and mariachi!

This is a music style characteristic of our country, a band with different instruments, traditional suits, and sombreros (and of course, the iconic yell).

If you see a mariachi band, you know you’re about to have fun and experience great music, great atmosphere, and the essence of Mexican culture.

I’ll leave you with one of the most popular mariachi songs, performed by one of the biggest Latin artists in the world, Luis Miguel! We’ll talk about him later, but he is known as “El sol de Mexico” for a reason!
